抄録・内容(英) | The reason why consumers increased borrowing by credit card loans is, in short, an increase in service expenditure of Americans, and credit cards are often used for settlement of this service expenditure Credit card loans are a category of consumer credit. Expenditure on services such as housing, medical care, education, leisure, etc. is increasing due to improvement of standard of living and service economy in modern consumption expenditure. By looking at changes in expenditure by income group, expenditure items burdened by low and middle-income groups are clarified, and by comparing it with the expenditure object to be used by credit card loans of low and middle income class, It is clear that the increase in service spending is the cause of increasing credit card loans. Meanwhile, since the bank had no legal restrictions, prior to carving the consumption expenditure, between 100 years ago 1958 and 1970, 100 million credit cards were distributed without review of repayment ability. For items with increased consumption expenditure, analyze that there are many settlements by credit card. From the reasons for the change in consumption expenditure by income group and the reason for setting up credit card loans, expenditure items depend on consumer credit for medium- and low-income groups become clear. Thus, an increase in households' service expenditure due to consumption of services is the first demand factor for credit cards. In addition, due to the influence of neoliberalism, financial administration has transformed from consumer protection, a consumer of credit, to business support of financial institutions that are credit producers. The fact that financial institutions have made borrowing easier to acquire customers is the second factor to disseminate credit card loans. |
